About
When I entered college, ceramics slowly took a back seat. For a few years, I drifted away from it. But everything changed when I took a job at a local pottery studio. Teaching studio classes and creating my own work again reignited this passion.
My first commissions brought an overwhelming sense of joy and confirmation that I was exactly where I was meant to be! Seeing my work become part of someone’s home is deeply rewarding.
Today, I aim to create original, thoughtfully crafted ceramics that bring warmth, intention, and personality into the spaces you love most.
Hello! Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Lucy, and I am a 21-year-old ceramic artist based in North Carolina. I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, lucky enough to be surrounded by artists and endlessly inspired by the natural beauty around me.
As a child, I was always making something, drawing, painting, sewing. If it was creative, I wanted to try it. At fourteen, I enrolled in a beginner ceramics class at my high school, and I immediately knew I had found my passion.
Ceramics quickly became the best part of my school day. It was peaceful, hands-on, and grounding. It taught me patience. It was during this time that I discovered slip trailing. I was drawn to the way it allowed me to “draw” with clay, adding dimension, texture, and detail to each of my pieces. Slip-trailed florals became my niche, a way to blend my love of drawing with the tactile beauty of ceramics. This technique is now my signature, allowing each piece to feel personal, expressive, and one-of-a-kind.
